Application Software - these refers to programs which are written for the purpose of solving specific data processing job.

1.Custom Software – software created by programmers tailored to the needs of an office or companies.
Example: Video Rental Software, Payroll System Software, flight reservation software, etc.
2.Packaged Software or Commercial Software – software in a form of packages and are commercially available.
